Dystopian future model

A project lasting for a week, put us up to the task of designing solutions for cities in the future. After being given a city each, and presenting cases for solutions, we were assigned to create a model sitting on poles on the wooden surfaces.

The future scenario of the task was that the “floating cities” had to be attached to these poles and sit above a certain level above the surface to avoid the danger of radioactive/toxic gases. There were many interesting unique approaches to the assignment. My approach was to have a very sharp, futuristic and clean design that could be repeated to align with needs.

Using plastic plates as the main material for the model gave it robust properties but also a very clean look that matched the vision of the project.
